Started in 2017, our organization is already active in multiple elementary schools around the Los Angeles region.

OUR MISSION

​

CodeBuddy was created in response to the lack of computer science classes in the Los Angeles Unified School District’s (LAUSD) curriculum. Since its founding last year, it has opened up programming classes at a total of nine LAUSD schools, introducing more than 200 elementary students to computer science. Code Buddy is in the process of expanding to more LAUSD schools and schools in other school districts. In addition, these classes are free, ensuring that learning coding is accessible to students of all socioeconomic classes.
